Andaman Water Sport Complex

First of its kind in India has all possible aqua sports facilities including safe water sports and adventure sports with sea water swimming pool. Safe water sports are paddle boats row boats, glass-bottom boats, aqua glide, kayaks, water cycle. Also houses a memorial for the Battle of Aberdeen fought between the Britishers and Andamanese Aboriginals in 1850.

Anthropological Museum

Anthropological Museum at port Blair was started in 1975-76, the museum is an ethnographic museum. It illustrates the four NegritoTribes of the Andamans, Viz., the Jarwas., Sentinelese, Great Andamanese and the Onges and tow Mongoloid tribes of the Nicobar Viz., the Nicobarese and the Shompens.

Chatham

The Chatham Saw Mill, one of the oldest and largest mills in Asia, built on a tiny island, is connected to Port Blair by a bridge. It is a store house of timber like Padauk, Gurjan, Marble, satin Wood etc. The island has the second largest wharf of these islands, where island mainland ships can berth.

Children’s Traffic Park

Near Aberdeen Sports complex, is set up by the Traffic police to educate young children about the traffic rules.

Corbyn’s Cove Tourism Complex

It is 7 km from the town. One of the most picturesque sea-beaches, it is ideal for sea bathing and sun basking. The complex provides Water sports and a change room. There is also provision for Horse Riding.

Cottage Emporium

It exhibits a spectrum of artifacts made of mother of pearl and other sea shells and local wood products Miniatures of Nicobari Canoes, palm mats for floors, tables and furniture are also available here.

Fisheries Museum

Situated near Andaman Water Sports Complex, it exhibits species of marine life peculiar to the islands and found in the Indo Pacific and the Bay of Bengal. Closed on Monday & Govt. holidays.

Forest Museum

Situated in Haddo, Port Blair, this museum offers an insight into forestry activities and displays decorative pieces made of Padauk, Marble, Peauma, Gurjan, Satin Wood etc. Open on all working days.

Gandhi Park

Laid in record time in the heart of Port Blair, it is an enticing park comprising of Children’s Park, Amusement and Entertainment Park. Deer Park, Water sports, Japanese temple, Nature walk, Garden, Restaurant etc.

Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park Wandoor and Coral Island

29 km from Port Blair. This Park is made up of open sea, creeks and fifteen small and large islands. Snorkeling equipment is available. Conducted tours are available from Andaman Teal House, Port Blair. Boats are available from Wandoor for the coral islands of Jolly Buoy and Red Skin.

Marine Park New Amusement Park

Just adjacent to the water sports complex this Amusement park has come up recently. Also a miniature Botanical garden called the Marina Park with a statue of Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose.

Madhuban

Mahuban is 75 km by road / 20 km by ferry from Port Blair. Trekking area North East of South Andaman. Exotic flora and fauna, endemic birds, animals, butterflies and elephant lumbering are the most interesting part of the trek.

Mini Zoo

Mini Zoo is situated in Haddo, Port Blair, it houses some of the rare species of endemic birds and animals found in these islands.

Mount Harriet

Mount Harriet is situated in 15 km by ferry from Port Blair. The summer Headquarters of the Chief Commissioner during British. It is 365 meters high, the second highest peak in the Andamans. One can trek up to Madhuban through a nature trail and can find rare flora and fauna, endemic birds, animals and butterflies.

Ross island

Once the seat of British power and capital of these Islands, it stands now as a ruin of the bygone days with the old structures in debris. A small museum named ‘Smritika’ holds photographs and other antiques of the Britishers relevant to these islands. Ross Island is open for the tourists to visit during day time as the boat services are available from the Phoenix Bay Jetty and also Speed boats are available at 8.30 am to 10.30 am & 12.30 pm.

Samudrika (Naval Marine Museum)

Samudrika is situated near Andaman Teal House, at Port Blair, set up to create awareness on various aspects of oceanic environment. A good collection of shells, corals, fishes and a few species of colorful fishes found in these islands are on display.

Science Centre

Science Centre is situated 3 km from Port Blair town, has an Andaman and Nicobar Islands Gallery with interactive exhibits depicting genesis of the Islands, volcanic activities, and science of oceans, fun science gallery, modern technology gallery, Taramandal (Portable planetarium), open air Science Park and an in house butterfly corner, which give a refreshing encounter with science. Open all days (10 am to 5.30 pm) except Wednesday and public holidays.

Sippighat Farm

Sippighat Farm is situated 14 km from Port Blair, Sprawling over an area of 80 acres is a Government farm. Research and Development programmes for cultivation of spices like cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, coconut and pepper are conducted. Research and Demonstration Farm of the Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI) is also nearby.

Vipper Island / Harbour Cruise

Harbour Cruise provides a unique experience of cruise provides a unique experience of cruise along the harbor in a boat leaving from Phoniex Bay jetty. The panoramic view of seven points from the sea, harbor, the floating Dock. Viper Island etc. are memorable.
